Bootz & Duke Signs has been helping Arizona businesses stand out for more than six decades. What began as a small, hand-painted sign shop has grown into one of the state’s most trusted full-service signage manufacturers. Today, Bootz & Duke remains a family-owned and operated, fourth-generation Arizona business committed to craftsmanship, reliability, and the same personal service that defined our early days.

A Growing, Fourth-Generation Family Business Committed To Customer Delight
In July of 1964, best friends and coworkers Charlie Bootz and Jim Duke chose to start their own sign company and Bootz and Duke Sign Company began.
For over a decade, Bootz and Duke Sign Company grew. In 1978 Jim Duke chose to retire, leaving the day-to-day operations to Charlie Bootz and his wife Nellie. At this time, their son Jeff and son-in-law Bill both began their careers with Bootz and Duke.
In 1993, Charlie and Nellie Bootz retired. Jeff Bootz took over as President and Bill Gibson was promoted to Vice President. At this time, Charlie and Andy Gibson began spending their summers working for the company and learning about the sign business.
In 2006, Jeff Bootz retired from ownership, and Bill Gibson became the sole owner and President of Bootz and Duke. Brent VanDeman, a long-time member of our sales team, was promoted to General Manager.
In 2020, Bill Gibson retired and his two sons Charlie and Andy Gibson began running day-to-day operations. Andy began serving as President and Charlie began serving as Vice President.
Today, Andy still serves as President and Charlie serves as Vice President. The future generation has also begun serving our customers in sales, fabrication and installation.
